Working with top employment organizations, psychologists, and hundreds of transitioning veterans, we developed a program and study that helps you figure out your post-service path, coaches you through landing a great job, and rewards you for success.

All veterans who qualify will have a 50:50 chance of receiving ONE of these transition services: The National Career Coach Program or The Local Community Resources Program.

Taking part in the study not only helps you get a job, you are helping veterans like you succeed.

You have a 50:50 chance of getting one of these programs.

NATIONAL CAREER COACH PROGRAM

The National Career Coach Program has four parts: In-person Training, Job Coaching, Human Capital Funding, and Earnings Bonus.
The In-person Training an all-expenses paid in-person introduction course (up to 4-days in length) held in Alpharetta, Georgia. USA. This training is run by experts in Veterans employment, and empowers each participant to achieve the goals they set for their transition.
A Job Coach is assigned to every veteran to support them for 18 months as they transition to the civilian workforce.
The Human Capital Fund is an individualized fund designed to reduce barriers to employment and maximize earning potential for veterans. Veterans will have access to the human capital fund for 18 months after completing the orientation training.
The Earnings Bonus is an incentive given to participants as they work and meet specific requirements.

LOCAL COMMUNITY RESOURCES PROGRAM

The Local Community Resources Program coordinates referrals to three local service providers offering veterans training, financial assistance, and paid work experiences. These services are in-person and individualized. The programs include: The Department of Veterans Affairs Compensated Work Program, the state-federal Vocational Rehabilitation program, and the Department of Labor American Job Center.
Compensated Work Therapy provides paid work experiences and ongoing employment supports for veterans through partnerships with business, industry, and government agencies.
The State-Federal Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program: VR counselors conduct in-person assessments, and provide counseling and placement services. VR counselors connect veterans with local employment programs that provide in-person employment counseling and ongoing support.
The American Job Center provides in-person career counseling, job training, workshops, interview practice, and accessibility and special accommodations for people with disabilities. As a bonus, veterans enrolled in this program gain access to CareerOneStop’s National Job Search tool.
Westat is evaluating the Independence Project which helps new veterans get jobs after the military

An independent research team from Westat will track a number of outcomes related to earnings, employment, and well-being through surveys and proof of income.
